My review – I couldn’t be more stoked for a new media outlet on the internet concerning the sport of volleyball. However, this particular edition is their pilot show and runs almost like a sixty-minute rough draft. That being said, I think the program has a bright future once the kinks are ironed out. Don’t get me wrong here, I attempted to launch my first podcast last week and it wasn’t easy, by any means. The editing, the timing, the final production… it may seem like nothing, but in actuality it takes up way more time than I could have ever imagined. In fact, I simply used Garageband on a Mac Book and uploaded directly to iTunes, which is the easiest program to use in the world, and I still thought it was difficult. So, give these guys credit for a nice production with multiple Gold Medal winning guests and some great topics to discuss. The music editing and commercial interludes will work themselves out as time goes by and new shows are recorded; in addition to the somewhat awkwardness of the questions and spacing between thoughts. Regardless, it’s always a treat to hear what some of the greats of the game have to say about things on the minds of anyone interested in the sport of volleyball, indoor or out. I look forward to tracking their progression in show #2, and wish them the best of luck.
